🐾 Every prospective family starts with a brief phone interview. I’ll get to know a little about you and your family, and I’ll explain the Cavern Kennels Boykin Spaniels puppy program.
Pricing is discussed after the interview and after we’ve gone over our program.

🐶 About Our Puppies
Our Boykin Spaniels are the result of carefully planned pairings — both health and DNA tested.
• Each puppy is assigned a **colored whelping collar** at birth for identification
• Puppies will not leave until they are **8 weeks old**
📋 Waiting List Information
To join the Puppy Waiting List:
**Step 1: Phone Interview**
Call Warren at (931) 272-1198 to see if a Boykin Spaniel is the right fit for your home.
**Step 2: $100 Non-Refundable Deposit**
This deposit secures your place and is applied to the final balance.
📌 Let Warren know if you want a male or female (or ask for help choosing)
📅 Order is **first come, first served**
🔁 If a litter doesn't have enough puppies, your deposit rolls to the next available litter
🍼 After Puppies Are Born
**Additional Deposit Required (due within 1 week of birth):**
• Waiting List Clients: $400
• New Clients: $500
🔒 Puppies are not “on hold” until this is received
❗ All deposits are non-refundable except for rare medical reasons affecting your pup
🐾 How Do I Choose My Puppy?
At Cavern Kennels, we use a **puppy draft system** — like the NFL Draft.
📋 Your pick order is based on when your deposit was received.
🗓️ **The puppy draft happens when the puppies are 7 weeks old**, just before they go home at 8 weeks.
🐶 Drafts are held separately for **males** and **females** to match families more efficiently.
**Example:**
• John placed the first male deposit — he gets the first male pick
• Sarah was second for a female — she gets the second female pick, and so on
Each puppy will have:
• A **colored collar**
• Updated videos
Warren is available to help families prior to draft selection!
💰 Payment Information
**Accepted Deposit Methods:**
• Money Order
• PayPal – send as “Friends & Family” to: s.warren.richey@gmail.com
• Venmo – @Warren-Richey
💳 If paying with credit card via PayPal, **add 2.9%** for fees
✅ Confirmation is sent once PayPal or Venmo deposits are received
💵 Final Payment
• **Due at pickup – CASH ONLY**
• You may pay in full anytime before pickup

Once a dam is confirmed pregnant, we create a **private Facebook group** for that litter.
Clients on the waiting list can join and follow along with:
• Pregnancy updates
• Puppy pictures and videos
• Growth milestones

Deposits show mutual commitment:
• Your intent to reserve a puppy
• Our promise to hold your selection
🐾 Cavern Kennels Boykin Spaniels reserves the right to keep **pick of the litter** when needed.
Puppy Placement & Reservation Policy
Cavern Kennels Boykin Spaniels reserves the right to decline any prospective client during the client interview and screening process if we determine that the placement is not in the best interest of the puppy or our breeding program.
Additionally, Cavern Kennels Boykin Spaniels reserves the right to withdraw any puppy from a scheduled placement at any time, including puppies for which a deposit has already been received.
In the event Cavern Kennels Boykin Spaniels cancels a puppy placement, any deposit or payment received for that puppy will be refunded in full.
Our priority is and always will be the health, well-being, and appropriate placement of every puppy raised at Cavern Kennels Boykin Spaniels.
